Kickoff meeting evaluation
From 6th till 8th of November 2019, representatives from partners schools from Latvia, Estonia, Romania, Turkey Balikesir, Turkey Kilis and Poland met for the Erasmus+ KA229 project “Communication is an Art’ short-term joint staff training meeting in Wabrzezno, Poland. Together we discussed the administrative part of the project (monitoring, dissemination and evaluation activities, and financial aspects),upcoming deadlines and activities, divided responsibilities and clarified some key points. The meeting also allowed us to get to know each other even better
and form project management team that would work towards successful implementation of the project.

Our project team recognises and focuses on the value of communication skills for students as one of the most important educational objectives that helps develop students' skills to engage. The main purpose of the project is to improve pupils' communication skills.The specific project objectives: to increase awareness and communication among 300 students from 6 EU schools during a two-year project, to observe the communication process among these students, to improve pupils' communication skills through the exchange of personal and cultural experiences, to encourage students to use ICT to communicate with impact.

All the objectives are linked to our priorities- development of communication skills will encourage social inclusion, making students become more tolerant and understanding than those around them, more aware of their own style of
communication and behavior.

From 23th till 27 of February 2020, representatives from partners schools from Latvia, Estonia, Romania, Turkey Balikesir, Turkey Kilis and Poland met for the Erasmus+ KA229 project “Communication is an Art’ short-term exchange of pupils meeting in Balıkesir, Turkey.

A total of 34 students and teachers from partner schools took part in the activities during five-day meting.

On the first day  the partners were welcomed by the host school Muharrem Hasbi Anadolu Lisesi school master Mutasim ATEŞ. After an evaluation meeting the partners visited the classrooms and other parts of the school and got to know about the host school, lessons and school environment. They also watched a presentation about Turkish education system and exchanged ideas with their colleagues. The partners also visited the main attractions of Balıkesir and they had the opportunity to know about Balıkesir and Turkish culture.

On the second day after a short evaluation meeting all partners watched the folk dance show prepared by Muharrem Hasbi Anadolu Lisesi dance group. They practiced the figures and parts together enjoyed communicating by music and dance learning about a new culture.

In the afternoon all partners visited the mayor of Balıkesir and the district governer. They were informed about the city and discussed the on education and common educational problems.

All partners took part in creative drama activity and improved their communicative skiils.

On the third day partners draw a school mural giving a message of our project and took part in a hand imprint workshop.

On the 4th day all partners visited nearbye historical and touristic sites Bergama, Ayvalık and Cunda. They learned about the history and culture of Turkey.

On the last day after a brief evaluation period partners took part in a friendshiop workshop recipe and expressed their ideas on friendship and improved their witten communication skills. They also watched a school concert and improved their social skills.

They came together to give a message of our project and took an aereal photo. They also watched tradidional Ebru art show. After activities all partners took their participation certificates and said farewell to each other.
